Journey to Bethlehem

An incredible story, that keeps on inspiring

Journey to Bethlehem is an interactive, outdoor performance that presents in an extraordinary, artistic form the event that changed the history of the world. The performance is presented on two pre-Christmas weekends as well as during the Day of the Three Kings. The script for the spectacle was created based on the Holy Scripture.

The performance, which involves over 150 volunteers annually, recalls the most important facts and presents the most beautiful scenes of the Christmas story. It takes place outdoors in the winter scenery of a six-hectare recreational center, which during the performance becomes New Testament Judea, where pilgrims from all over the country come to embark on an extraordinary journey. The viewers, being part of the performance and accompanied by Roman soldiers, together with the main characters of the presented story, set out on an exciting journey whose goal is the Bethlehem stable and a meeting with the infant Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

The performance has an extraordinary musical and media setting, impresses with the realism of the presented story, the scenery, and costumes. A great attraction is the animals – donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits – as well as the accompanying event featuring markets with souvenirs, albums of Christmas carols, and films from the spectacle.

Called ‘the largest multimedia Christmas scene in the country,’ it attracts thousands of viewers every year to the Tomaszów region from all over Poland and abroad.

The organizers of the performances are: Proem, Proem Zako, Proem Edu, SCh Tomy
Collaboration: Savannah Christian Church, USA

The performance has been covered multiple times by nationwide and local media, including TVN24, TVP Łódź, Polish Radio Program 1, RMF FM, Superstacja, Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Łódzki, TIT, and other local radio and television stations as well as newspapers.
